Edwards of Conwy is a traditional  European award winning master butcher located in the historical town of Conwy, North Wales.

Ieuan Edwards, a farmer's son from the Conwy valley, served his apprenticeship in the market town of Llanrwst, before successfully completing courses in both Switzerland and Holland. He opened his butchers shop at the age of 20, and now employs over 30 staff.

His success is built on his commitment to provide you with the highest quality Welsh meat.

2005 proved to be an exceptional year for Edwards of Conwy as our founder Ieuan Edwards was awarded the coveted and highly prestigious True Taste of Wales Ambassador Award for 2005/2006.  Ieuan will, during his year of office, be promoting the qualities of Welsh Food & Drink products at every opportunity.

2005 also saw us win the UK National BPEX Traditional Pork Sausage title, the latest of many award received over the years for our superb sausages.   
The "Q" Guild is an exclusive group of craftsmen butchers, who work very closely with their farmers to produce meat and products that are superior in quality and taste.

The "Q" Guild certificates are only awarded to butchers who pass the regular and rigorous inspections of their premises, working practises, whose hygiene arrangements are excellent, who offer a professional service, and whose main concern is customer satisfaction.

We have consistently achieved this prestigious award for the past TWELVE years and  Ieuan Edwards was ALSO a director of the "Q" Guild for two years.

our staff

Our dedicated team of highly qualified and skilled staff are the key to our success.

Our General shop manager, Dave Malloy, has been with the shop since the beginning. He is in charge of product development, marketing within the Conwy area, meat preparation, and ensuring that our high standards are always maintained.

Other team members include our Assistant Manager Neil Hughes. Neil is in charge of all internet sales and will quite possibly cut your order!

The shop is looked after by Assistant Manager Terry Elliott and Senior Supervisor Tania Philips who together ensure that our shop customers are well cared for.

Peter Jones is our Bakery Supervisor who has, along with his team, won major national awards for his pies and bakery products.

Our meat and sausages are prepared by qualified and experienced butchers, overseen by Ieuan himself.

We also employ qualified chefs who work alongside our butchers to develop new ideas and recipes.
